The next chapter...already.

When I started this site...a whole 4 or 5 months ago it was kind of a placeholder. It was a basic blogger template with very little customization. I put it up because I had recently bought the domain and I wanted to have something up. Now the site itself , and it's purpose I'll admit is a bit silly. It's pure folly through and through, It exists purely for my enjoyment so I have something to do and so I have something to have on the web for my domain.

I explored a number of options before landing on this, yet another blogger template, I wanted to do this sort of on the cheap so I didn't want to purchase hosting. I didn't want ads either. I explored Wordpress but the free version has ads. On the whole I really wasn't a fan of Wordpress anyhow. It was just too complicated for what I wanted to do.

I really ended up being a huge fan of Bootstrap. It's a code base that proved very easy to code and powerful, It looked gorgeous when combined with my design elements and was mobile responsive. It was everything I wanted. I attempted to use google drive as a host for this basic static website. It worked fantastic but as soon as I forwarded using my domain and domain masking it wrecked the viewport so I couldn't use it...and again I didn't want to pay for hosting.

This landed me back a Blogger which I'm actually quite impressed with as a free service. After months of searching for a suitable template and working on the code here we are with the new design.

For posterity sake...the old site.

So here we go...again. As  usual I hope you find your time on this site to be time (and bandwidth) well wasted.
